Meet Mrs. Bishop
Hello OT students and families! In case you are curious, here's a bit about myself...
This will be my third year at the best middle school in Kansas, and let me just say that I love being a Tiger! The staff, admin, students, and families are what make OT such a great place to be. I'm not sure how I got so lucky to be spending most of my time in the science classroom with middle school people, but I love it! I love working with middle school students because they are energetic, learning so much about themselves, and want to make the world a better place.
In addition to being a teacher, I am a wife, mom, reader, learner, chocolate chip cookie lover, rookie dog trainer, musician, and nature enthusiast. I graduated from Colorado State University with a BS in Science Education and earned my Master's in Secondary Science Ed from the University of Northern Colorado. While in Kansas I earned my gifted certification from Emporia State University and worked at Olathe West for its first 3 years as the gifted program coordinator. I loved having the opportunities to work so closely with students on setting and achieving their academic and personal goals, but I really missed my middle school people (and the science).
